Purpose Built Facilities

 Here at Silvertown, we are working towards greener solutions that benefit London. We recently moved to our current premises in August 2023, and as part of our pledge to assist our customers in demonstrating a reduction of CO2 produced from the yard, we have invested in a brand new Lefort 1250 Fully Electric Shear. This is a fixed, or static, shear that works 10 hours a day, constantly processing our stock for export. We are also investing in electric forklifts, cranes, and vehicles for staff. Additionally, we will soon be installing solar panels on the roof of our nonferrous shed to help with the day-to-day running of the site. Furthermore, we are planting trees around the site to improve air quality. 

 A new addition to the MRG family this year, London Scrap Terminal (LST) offers establishments like our own Silvertown, the opportunity to export material. Opening in late 2023, the deep-sea facility is going from strength to strength, with more customers delivering export material to our dock for shipment.
